From its beginning in 1924, the Kalamazoo Institute of Arts ("KIA") has offered art classes to the whole community and a place for the enjoyment of the visual arts through exhibitions, lectures, special events and a permanent collection. The KIA's mission has been to cultivate the creation and appreciation of the visual arts for the communities of West Michigan.

Located at 314 S. Park Street in downtown Kalamazoo, the KIA also is a premier location for dance events. With a spacious lobby and an acoustically perfect ballroom auditorium, it can easily accommodate 200 New Year's revelers in style and comfort without overcrowding. There will be places to sit and room to dance for everyone!
This New Year's there will be a separate room for food, a lobby bandstand featuring the music of Don Neal's Little Big Band and ballroom music in the auditorium ballroom by Bob Northrop & Melissa Muha of DJ PLAYS.
Everyone will enjoy reserved table seating, wonderful food and music. A great way to ring in the New Year!
